Public tours of the city

The Schelmenturn (Rogue’s Tower), Carnival, the Altstadt (historic city center) – experience a tour of Monheim’s history every summer month. On the 90-minute guided tour over about two kilometers, you will learn facts about Monheim’s past and present and about the plans of a constantly developing city.
The city tours are conducted in an entertaining way by our Mon-Guides – that’s the name of the Monheim city guides. After your tour, the culinary delights of the old town await you.

You don’t need to register for the public guided tours of the city; you can simply join a group on the spur of the moment if you want. Payment takes place on the spot; please bring the exact change.
However, if you decide in advance to join the tour, we would appreciate it if you registered in advance as this information will help our Monguides prepare for the tour. Registration is voluntary and non-binding.

These tours are guided only in German. However, you are welcome to book individual group tours with an English guide. How and where as well as a list of ideas for topics can be found here.
