A gentle ball game: boules and pétanque

Why not toss a ball in the fresh air and have fun together? In Monheim am Rhein, boules lovers can toss balls at two facilities – in the Rheinbogen Landscape Park and on the Baumberg’s village square.

Strictly speaking, the game known here as boules is called "pétanque" and it found its way to us via French soldiers and German holidaymakers. But whether you call it boules or pétanque, you and your group of players are guaranteed to have fun with this rather gentle sport.

In the Rheinbogen Landscape Park: between the skate park and climbing playground (Kapellenstrase, near the old part of town).

In the heart of Baumberg: at Baumberg’s village square (Von-Ketteler-Strasse)
