Monheim's Culinary Tours
In collaboration with the local "Monguides" (Monheim Guides), the city's gastronomic hosts and chefs invite you to savor unique experiences on their Culinary Tours.
These guided routes combine interesting insights into the city's history and highlights with scheduled stops at various food and drink venues. The refreshments provided vary by location, ranging from gourmet appetizers and seasonal plates to regional specialties, signature drinks, and delicious desserts.
Get ready for some exciting additions in 2026! Will you be enjoying a stopover at the historic Marienburg, or exploring a new route that links the Old Town (Altstadt) with Monheim Mitte (the City Center)?

Gourmet Wednesday 2026
"Monheim for Food Lovers" is the motto on Wednesdays. During a tour through the picturesque Old Town, you will experience gastronomy and culture for all the senses: fascinating facts about the history and way of life in Monheim am Rhein, all framed by high-quality dishes, artistically presented plates, and seasonal delicacies. The tasting is included in the price.
The tour includes stops at the following gastronomic venues: Nashe Café, La piccola enoteca, Restaurant Ohters, and Bloomgold (venues are subject to change).

Rhenish Tapas 2026
Discover the culinary diversity of the Rhineland during a delightful stroll through the historic city center. Look forward to three selected stops where Monheim originals (local hosts) will serve a fine selection of Rhenish tapas—accompanied by curated wines and regionally brewed beers. The experience is enhanced by entertaining anecdotes about the city's history and local Rhineland wisdom.
Please note here that dietary intolerances unfortunately cannot be accommodated, there is no vegan option available, and the vegetarian selection is limited. The tour includes stops at the following gastronomic venues: Tante Tina, Pfannenhof, and Spielmann (venues are subject to change).

Sunday Delights 2026
The Sunday Delights tour begins with a special highlight outside of the Old Town: the Marienburg, which is usually closed to the public, provides the enjoyable starting point. Following a mix of history and anecdotes, the tour continues into Monheim's Old Town. Here, you will discover the culinary diversity and allow yourself to be pampered, just as it should be on a relaxing Sunday.
The tour includes stops at the following gastronomic venues: Marienburg, Bloomgold, and Blue Moon (venues are subject to change).
