With the K714 Cultural Refinery, one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most exciting new event venues is coming to life on Monheim's Rhine Promenade. From September 2026, visitors can look forward to a unique destination that combines historic industrial architecture with cutting-edge event technology right on the banks of the Rhine. K714 will officially open on the first weekend of September, with a spectacular opening show on September 4, 2026. A multimedia production featuring dance, music, and theater will take audiences on a journey through the building's more than 100-year history.

From international concerts, musicals, comedy, theater, dance, sporting events and major live productions to intimate concerts, readings and special events, the K714 Cultural Refinery will offer a diverse program for every audience. With capacity for up to 4,800 guests, its flexible layout and versatile stage provide the perfect setting for events of every scale. The first performances and events will take place from September 2026.

But it's not just the program that makes K714 worth a visit. Before or after an event, guests can enjoy a stroll along the Rhine Promenade. The new dining area, complete with a rooftop terrace, offers food and drinks alongside stunning 180 degree views of the Rhine, making it the perfect way to round off a memorable evening.

The K714 Cultural Refinery brings together history and the future in a truly unique way. The striking brick façade of the former Shell bottling plant has been preserved, creating an impressive backdrop for a modern cultural venue with distinctive character.

Getting here is easy thanks to excellent transport links and a new parking garage with around 2,000 parking spaces, ensuring a relaxed and convenient start to every visit.
