Day of the Open Monument 2025

On Monheim am Rhein’s Day of the Open Monument, numerous doors and gates leading to exciting sights and historical monuments – some with a very special program of activities – will be thrown open for visitors. Haus Bürgel, which belongs to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is always part of it all.

Due to their age, historic buildings have usually seen many phases of reconstruction, refurbishment and renovation. As original structures, they provide an insight into the history of their inhabitants, their uses and various construction phases. Many an architectural sin of the past can also be read on their walls.
