Starry Magic Christmas Market in the old town

For the first time, the Christmas market stretches from the Old Market to Monheim Mitte. Around 60 lovingly decorated craft huts, mostly offering handmade and unique gift ideas, await visitors. In addition to jewelry, wood and metalwork, children’s toys, paintings, and decorations, there will also be knitted and crocheted items. Fine foods, jams, spices, specialty coffees, and spirits will also be available for purchase.

Cozy atmosphere and local delights

The atmospheric visit to the Christmas market is complemented by a musical program. Both young and old guests can look forward to an enchanting stage program with live music and entertaining walking acts. A children's carousel is available for the youngest visitors. Culinary Christmas treats can also be found in the local old town restaurants. The culinary creativity knows no bounds this year as well. Amid the festive stalls nestled between half-timbered houses, old town lanterns, and the illuminated linden trees on the Alter Markt, you can find treats such as marshmallow chocolate, mulled wine from local vineyards, Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancakes), waffles on a stick, as well as raclette bread and hearty grilled dishes. However, the true essence of a visit to Monheim's old town lies in the warmth of companionship. The entire area between the historic Schelmenturm and Alter Markt transforms into a space for meeting new people and reconnecting with friends.
